Cocktails and private shopping featuring the fall 2026 collection at the Oscar de la Renta boutique in Plaza del Lago celebrated three anniversaries and the 2026 Women’s Board of the Field Museum’s Gala October 17.
Sophie Bross told us:
“Our Gala is not only celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Women’s Board of the Field Museum but it is also the 60th anniversary of Marshall Field V as a Field Museum Trustee. We wanted to host several more informal events before the Gala to bring the women from the board and our friends together in a more informal yet beautiful setting. The opening of the first Oscar store in the Midwest was a terrific opportunity and the boutique generously donated 10 percent of the evening’s sales to the Field.”
Co-Chair Susu Block noted,
“Oscar de la Renta is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year as well, so partnering with them for their opening party was extra meaningful. It was an elegant, fun evening and a wonderful way to build excitement for our 2026 Gala on October 17.”
Celebrating the life and legacy of one of the most enduring designers of prized party dresses seemed just the right way to kick off the Gala, a gathering Oscar de la Renta would have loved.
