The Curio presented a stylist panel discussion for a group of 150 fashion professionals and aficionados at The Emily Hotel in the West Loop on April 2. The evening brought together a cross-section of Chicago’s fashion and creative community for a candid discussion on building independent careers, defining a creative point of view, and shaping the future of style in the city.

The panel featured three leading Chicago stylists: Rachel J Penca, a TEDx speaker and educator at Columbia College Chicago whose clients range from CEOs to college students; J’en Mason of J’en ReStyle, a sustainable fashion designer and content creator with over 100,000 followers who transforms thrifted and vintage garments into bold statement pieces; and Rahela Tanase, whose multidisciplinary background spans creative direction, art direction, and design. The discussion was moderated by The Curio’s Maggie Gillette.
